When it comes to reputable outdoor brands, I like to think of it in one of two ways. If the brand is well known or has been around for a while, then there must be a reason why. They must be doing something right or they have an amazing product. That doesn’t mean the less known brand doesn’t have a great product too. You must do your own research on the company and product specifications. I like to look at what the lesser known or smaller companies stand for or do for the community. I also like to see how they make or display their products.
Start somewhere!
All companies must start somewhere and somehow. To get your company’s name and product out there you must start somewhere. So, the first thing to make money is you must spend money. You are going to either give some of your product away free or you will sell it at a low price to interest buyers. As with anything it’s a huge risk starting a business, getting your name and product out there is key. Advertising is not a bad way to get your company’s name and product out there but realistically there’s a huge percentage of people who do not pay attention to advertisements.
Small business day?
Small business day is a great way to help these independent, newer companies get their name and product out there. Consumers should really take this day into consideration to help these companies. Not all small companies are good, and not all companies are bad. You will be surprised to find out smaller or newer companies do use a lot of local suppliers to create their product. This means that money is staying in the community and not being outsourced to foreign companies. Businesses can support and help other neighboring businesses.
Haters will hate!
There will always be dislikes and hate when it comes to whose brand is better. A great example of this let’s say the three auto manufactures Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors. We will say the pickup truck for product that they sell. Some will say General Motors is the best and no one can compete with it while others will say Ram is the best and no one can compete with their pickups. Whatever the case is we all have brands we prefer and that’s okay. But honestly the three manufacturers must be doing something right. They all create a great product and they have been in business for a very long time.
So what brand is better?
So do your research on the brands and products. The only thing that can make a company better is the way it gives back to the community and the jobs it creates. Sometimes the off brand (which is usually a newer company or a smaller company) makes a way better product than the well-known popular brand. They put more heart and compassion into their product while supporting neighboring businesses and the community. Everyone will always have their own opinions about everything. For now, the company is in business for some reason, especially if it’s been a few years, then they must be doing something right.
