Having three wishes would be child’s dream come true. What would you do if you were given three wishes? There could be so many things a person could wish for. Most will wish for money, or materialistic items such as cars and houses. But like anything in this world nothing is given to us without a catch or a price to pay in return. So, be careful with what you wish for! The wonders of what some would wish for if this was a thing given to them. What would be your first wish if you were given this opportunity?
The price of a wish!
Nothing is free in this world of ours and nothing is ever just given to us. For example, if you give money to someone because they are in need. That person still had to pay for it in some way or there was a catch for them. You are thinking what’s the catch or price they paid to get free money from me. The price they might be paying is suffering from being homeless or in need. Another example is maybe you gave money to someone who deserves it. That person worked hard to accomplish something to earn the money you gave. As for you, in both situations you might feel good about yourself because you gave something to help someone but you paid and lost money or time.
The average wish or dream.
When it comes to our dreams and wishes we always want to be rich, famous, or have something super nice like a car or house. Being rich has a huge price to pay. For starters the government will want their share by taxing you. Others will look at you as a mister or a misses money bags and will want you to lend or give them money (this includes charities will bother you for money and put the guilt trip on you). Wishing and getting a nice car or a big house comes with a price to pay. Even if those things were given to you, you will still need to pay taxes and upkeep.
The small things.
The smaller the wish the less of a price to pay or catch. Not necessarily true! Sometime the smaller things can have the biggest catch. Let’s say you wish someone would come to help you with a small project at home. A friend who has nothing to do and knows you are doing a project offers to help. So, they get the idea to come and help you. Your reaction in your mind is, this is a wish come true because I need a second pair of hands. While it seems innocent at first, maybe a few days later your friend needs help with their car. They call you to help them; if you say no, they will tell you that they helped you out and it’s only fair that you help them. You either pay the price of helping them, or them being mad or possibly losing that friend. So, even the small things can have a price or catch without you even realizing at that time.
The wish!
No matter what we do in life we will always have wishes and dreams. They may be big or small and we might not ever tell anyone about them, but we will subconsciously think about them. Dreams and wishes are what push us to better ourselves and have goals in life. If you say you have no dreams or wishes I will flat out tell you that you are lying. We all have dreams and wishes to have a cool, good job, nice house, a loving family, to retire, or maybe to go on vacation somewhere.
