What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

One way we try to stay young is acting like a big kid. Being a kid at heart is not a bad thing for anyone. This is one way you can let loose and not take responsibility for that moment. Now this doesn’t mean you can act and be like a big kid all the time, because that would lead you into being irresponsible, which would defiantly be a bad thing. But just letting loose and acting like a kid and having fun will keep you healthier, younger and active throughout life. Are there times where you act like a kid sometimes?

Things you can do to act like a kid.

There are many ways you can act like a big kid and have good old fun. You can always act like a big kid around close family and/or friends. You can do this around them because no one will judge you, and they will be honest with you and make sure you do not push it too far. Acting like a kid doesn’t have to be destructive or immature, you can simply have the same fun as a young kid in elementary school. Somethings you can do is draw goofy pictures, play hide in seek, play tag, or run around outside. What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?

Pushing it too far!

Are you able to push it too far? Yes, we defiantly can push it too far. As for anything, a little is good but too much is always a bad thing. Ways you can go too far is when you start to be destructive (harming others or destroying property), acting like a kid all the time (we need to take responsibility and live our adult life), or being bad influence on younger children. While you may enjoy acting like a big kid and playing truth or dare, drawing, or something along those lines; we do not want to be a bully or the bad influencer that encourages young ones to be bad. We are still adults and sometimes as much fun as we are having, we must make sure we or the children we are playing with do not get too wild or destructive.

Staying young and healthy.

Acting like a child can keep you young, healthy, and more active in life. Running around and being a big kid helps our cardio and keeps us fit. Staying healthy and active is a good way for us to feel younger because we need to keep up with physical activities to run, play outside games, and keep our imagination fresh. Sometimes if you push yourself too hard when doing physical activities, we may defiantly feel it the next day. Moderately pushing ourselves will keep us from getting hurt and being able to play harder with no pains the next day.

Things I like doing to keep me young.

Things I enjoy doing when I get a chance are playing tag, doing crafts, running around outside, or playing games outside. I get to act like a kid a few times a year around my nieces, nephews, and younger cousins. Sometimes I will act like a kid at work, especially when I am trying to bring myself down to a child’s level who is hurt or not feeling well. I find when I bring myself down to their level, we can kind of get a connection and make them feel comfortable as I try to make them feel better. I feel when we connect with any of our patients, they tend to trust us and feel better.
