Do you trust your instincts?

The one person you should be able to trust is yourself. If you cannot trust yourself then how do you expect to trust anyone else? Our minds and bodies know what is best for us. So, when something in our head is telling us not to do something then we probably shouldn’t do it. Same goes for when our mind tells us we should take a chance on something. There’s a good reason our mind is probably telling us something. Our minds and bodies are very smart, but most people tend to ignore it and just do whatever they want. It’s like the old saying goes “you are what you eat!”

You are what you eat!

Let’s think about this statement! Do you know what it means? You are what you eat doesn’t necessarily mean if you eat spaghetti you will turn into spaghetti. Although our parents and grandparents defiantly liked to tease us in the past. The saying was technically about if you watch the “garbage” on television and play video games you would waste your mind away. If we didn’t eat healthily and get away from the television our bodies would take a toll also. Today I guess you can make some decent money by playing video games and having people watch you play. I personally do get it, but that is me. But I am surprised today that most younger generations have a hard time doing basic math and spelling / grammar (I know my grammar can be rough at times) today. With computers and technology helping us pretty much do everything our brains do not need to work hard.

Listening to our minds and bodies.

No, I don’t mean in any sexual way. I mean when we get that sense that tells us to do something or not do something. Working in EMS (Emergency Medical Services) we see a lot of people, especially around some of the holidays that do the dumbest things. For example, holding a firecracker while holding it and letting it take off from your hands. What part of this sounded like a good idea. You probably should have defiantly listened to your mind when it said this is a bad idea. Or maybe your body when the sparks started burning your hand and said to drop the firecracker dummy. There are so many stories from working in EMS some are cool, and others can be scary or gory especially when I was in some predicaments. Maybe if you want to hear more EMS stories, I will start writing some short stories. But let me know below in the comments.

Déjà vu!

How many people have had Déjà vu? Probably all of us. Do you think that could be something to tell us to either do something or not do something? I always think it has got to mean something. I know it always makes me pause and I try to think or remember what it is I am supposed to do. Either way I always felt we should listen to it just like we listen to ourselves. I feel like I always seem to make the right choice most of the time. I know for me I used to get Déjà vu all the time when I was younger. Now not so much. Come to think about it, most the time I was alone in the basement at my mother house usually playing Legos (I know right). How about you? Did you have Déjà vu more when you were younger or now? Was it more popular in a certain area?

Listen to yourself!

Do you always trust and listen to yourself? When was the last time you mind, or body has steered you wrong? I think more people need to trust themselves more. They need to listen to their bodies and minds. The human body as a whole is very unique, it knows what is best for us. We just need to listen a little more to it. When it says don’t do something then we probably shouldn’t do it. When it says to go ahead and take a chance. There is probably a good reason for that. So next time your body or mind says something listen to it. I guarantee it won’t steer you wrong.

Do you trust yourself and listen to your mind and body?
