Everyone we meet or interact with will have some type of effect on us. When we are in our younger stages of life, the people around us help develop us to be the person we become as we get older. We will get some type of influence from everyone we meet. These influences can be good or can be bad for us, but either way it will help develop us. As we get older, we try to be around people who are similar or have the same interests as us. Most people as they get older like being around others that will have a positive influence on them. Do you feel your peers have an influence on you?
Stages of life and the people around us.
When we are young, we observe everyone that comes into our life. We remember a piece of them and that helps build and shape us as we get older. Some of the biggest influences on children are teachers. Think about it, we all had a favorite teacher. Now think deep down why that teacher was your favorite. I know mine was third grade, because even in the hardest times I was going through she was there to help me out. From her I learned to be nice and get to know someone deep down before coming up with presumptions. We learn many great things from our teachers as well as things we do not want to do. Same goes with everyone one that comes into our life. We pick up on the things and ways we want or do not want to be like. Do you think we take a little bit of something from everyone we meet?
Can movies and shows influence us?
Movies and shows can defiantly influence us. I know for me I used to like watching movies where the main character would help at the nursing home and play games with all the old people. I think this was the spark that got me into the medical field. So, even movies or shows can influence us and shape our life. They can help us be the person we want to be. Have a movie/show or an actor/actress ever had influence on your life?
The good and the bad; pick, choose, and cut!
We can get influences to shape our life from anyone or anything. We choose what we remember about each person or thing. We not only remember the good things but also the bad things. Maybe we will remember someone because even though they were nice they looked very angry, and people stayed away from them. Maybe we remember the kid who always gave everyone hugs. Maybe we remember the man who was always yelling. We take all these memories, and they shape us to be who we want to be. We do not want to be the angry looking person who is always yelling, we want to be the super friendly person that hugs people who look like they need a friend. Sometimes all we know is people that yell, fight and be angry; this will sometimes cause us to follow suit because it’s all we know. Sometimes it also can have the opposite effect because we know we do not want to be like that. Have you ever looked at someone and said I never want to be like that?
How relationships, people, and television influenced me.
I think watching my elders and especially my older brother all has had influences on me. I know I am a hands-on type of person which has come from all my grandparents. My Mother has taught me to try everything and do everything. My Father taught me to like ice hockey, and automotive. The only person I know who likes journalism is my older brother so I must have gotten into blogging from him. Movies and shows and taking care of my grandparents have gotten me into the medical field. I can see that everything around us shapes us to be who we are today; can you?
Who or what has had the biggest influence on you that has shaped you to be who you are today?
