It’s never easy to describe ourselves in one word. There are many words that we can use to describe ourselves, sometimes one word isn’t enough to describe who we are. When we must choose one word to describe something, we try to think of a word that describes how we feel about it. If we want to describe it in a good way, we will use a positive word and if we want to describe it badly then we will use a negative word. One word will never be able to fully explain or describe something, we only get a little piece of the puzzle. Do you ever use one word to describe something or someone?
Using one word.
Using one word to describe something is like using one sentence to describe a book. You will never be able fully describe anything with a single word or even a single sentence. To fully describe something, you need to include the good and bad stuff about the thing you are trying to describe. Describing something with a single word or sentence is just getting piece of the puzzle that you have no clue where it goes or how it fits. Do you think you could describe something in a single sentence or a single word?
Choosing a single word.
There are so many words that could be used to describe something, someone or even us. Picking that one special word can be very challenging. To choose the right word would take time if we wanted to be accurate yet not be biased on our thinking. When we start letting our opinion become part of what word to choose, we could be more focused on either the good or the bad instead of us staying neutral on what we are trying to describe. Do you let your opinion become part of your description when describing something, someone or ourselves?
Choosing the right word for ourselves.
Most people have overcome some major challenges throughout life. We have helped people as well as hurt others. As we get older choosing the proper word to describe ourselves gets even more challenging. There is no single word that can describe everything a single person has accomplished, overcame, hurt, destroyed, helped, sadden, etc. A single word might only be able to describe one very little detail about the person. Choosing that one single word would have to be the opinion we feel would be the best word. Unfortunately, the one single word will not do just, if someone wanted to know who we are by a single word. Do you think a single word could describe the person you really are?
Describing myself.
I could not pick one word that describes who I am. I am so many things and not everything is always good. I am sure I have helped and hurt people. Maybe intentionally and maybe not intentionally. I have overcome many different challenges throughout life and have many accomplishments, as well as failures. As much as I want to say I am this great person, I am still just human like everyone else. I made my mistakes and learned from them (or so I hope I did). If I really had to pick one simple word to describe myself, I would choose the word human.
If you had to choose one word to describe yourself, what word would you choose?
