How Much Does Time Value To You?

Time is a valuable thing in life. Sometimes we throw our valuable time away like it’s a piece of trash. If we thought of our time more like money, we would cherish it more and spend it wisely. As most people value money, our time should be valued too. Being our time is worth money and we should be paid when we use our time for work. Sometimes as much as we all want to be always making money, we must donate our time to good causes. Like donating money, our time can be donated which will have great rewards in the end. Do you value your time like money?

Time and money are the same.

Our time should be looked at on the same level as money. The main difference is money we start off at zero dollars and work our way up (or so in theory). With time we start off with “X” amount and it goes down from there. Here are some statistics to think about. According to Curiositydb.com the average person lives to be about 70 years old (some may live longer; others will live shorter). That would be 25,550 days or 613,200 hours or 36,792,000 minutes. When looking at the statistics it really doesn’t seem like a lot of time. We never know how much time we have on our hourglass that is given to us. Today we are healthy and happy, tomorrow we can feel ill or have something traumatic happen. Will you value your time more knowing the statistics?

Cherishing our time.

Our time should be cherished more. Today so many people are wasting their time away by watching television, playing video games, playing on their phones, or worse yet doing drugs and/or drinking. If people would care about their time as they care about the other things in life (like money) everyone would be trying to have a fulfilled, enrich, happy life. We should be spending our time enjoying life, the things and people around us. Most people work hard to get where they are today. They have overcome so many obstacles to be who they are today. They should be enjoying what they have worked so hard to accomplish and cherish the moments before it’s too late. Have you worked hard to be where and who you are today?

Donations.

Donating money to churches, communities and loved ones always has its benefits. The one thing that should be more valuable and cherished than money is time. Most people like spending time with others. Donate a little time to cherish the moments with family and hug your elders a little longer. Our time is always clicking down, don’t waste your time on the useless, meaningless stuff and donate it to the things that matter in life. Would you rather donate time or money and why?

Spending my time wisely.

I have never been one to value time until I got divorced from my 1st wife. I felt many things but the thing that hit me the hardest was that I felt all that time we spent together was a waste. Everything we did together was meaningless and a waste. I learned that I want to work hard and hopefully retire at a decent age with a decent amount of money to cherish the little time left on earth. I enjoy donating my time to charities, and good causes. I learned to spend more time with family and loved ones. The older we get it seems (and feels) the faster time goes by. When our hourglass runs out that’s it, we cannot gain more time.

If you were given a 1 year or 365 days or 8,760 hours or 525,600 minutes left to live, would you cherish your time even more than today?
