Life is never easy or where we get everything we want. Sometimes we must give up a lot of things, not only because we have to, but it’s the right thing to do. When we are young, we think we can get our parents to buy and do everything we want. As we get older, we think when we have adult money we can buy and do even more things. Then life happens and we settle down and have a family. We realize that the things our parents did for us, we now do for our family. Do you think your parents tried to give you the best childhood possible?
Getting everything we want and getting it now.
When children are young, they do not realize what money or time is. They do not realize how valuable or precious both things are, especially when they go hand to hand. Most children learn and know one thing, when they want something, their parents buy it for them. Children do not understand when someone says that’s expensive, or your parents must love you a lot. They only know that they wanted something, and their parents got them it. Do you think some children are overly spoiled with materialistic things?
Learning the value of things.
As we get older and must work for the things we have; we learn to appreciate and respect things more. We learn that if we really want or need something we must work really hard and save our money. The more money we make and have the bigger and more costly items we want. We then start to realize some of the things our parents did for us. Putting their needs behind our wants. We never reflect on the things our parents did for us until we start putting ourselves in their shoes. Do you ever think about all the things your parents did for you when you were younger?
A family of our own.
There’s nothing like having your own family and your own kids. Having children is never easy especially when they become so needy or want everything they see and touch. In all honesty we all want to give our children the world. If we could, we would give them everything they see, touch, and want. Most the time life isn’t that simple, and we must give up the things we like so we can give our children a little more. Would you give sacrifice your needs in life, for your children’s wants?
Sacrifices I make.
In life you want your children to have a better life than you. You want to give them everything you couldn’t have. With that being said, there are many things I don’t buy or do for myself. I work extra hours so I can have extra money to spend it on my family. Whenever I go to the store, I try to buy something for my family. There’s nothing like surprising your family with something for no apparent reason. It’s the greatest sight to see and knowing you surprised them because they were not expecting anything.
What is the biggest sacrifice you make for your family?
