Giving gifts to loved ones can be difficult sometimes. Especially when they are the type of person that buys something when they need it. It can also be difficult sometimes to buy gifts for spouses or significant others when you already buy them anything they need or want. This also can be difficult for people to buy you gifts too, especially if you are the type of person who buys everything you want. This is why we must think outside the box and be unique. Think of something they would have never expected to buy or get as a gift. Do you have a hard time buying gifts for people in your life?

The occasion!

Gifts can be given anytime and on any occasion. Most gifts are given around birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. Sometimes gifts can be themed or must incorporate a specific object or theme. For example, a birthday party geared around beach or ocean theme, the gifts given maybe around the beach theme like beach towel, beach blanket, or sand toys. Besides birthdays and holidays sometimes anniversaries will be themed or around a specific material. Have you ever had a themed birthday party?

Being unique!

Be unique with your gifts. Customizable stuff or hand made stuff is worth more than the item itself. Remember its never about the cost of the item but the thought behind it. When trying to think of something special to give someone, take your time and really put on your thinking cap. Plan it out and make sure the idea of your gift comes from the heart. You will see your gift will touch their heart. Even if it’s a gift that person never would have bought for themselves, they will know that it came from your heart if you take your time and really try to be unique and meaningful. Do you put a lot of thought into gifts you buy?

The perfect gift!

The perfect gift can exist if you put your heart in it and really plan the kind of gift you want to give. There is no perfect answer from someone to tell you what to give to someone else. You can always seek ideas and those may be great ideas but ultimately you will have to put your own thought into that idea to make it special and from you. Anybody can buy a gift but if there’s no heart or thought into it, then it’s just a gift and nothing more. Gifts must be personable or have some meaning behind them. Like an anniversary gift that has the theme canvas, gift ideas could be a canvas painting or canvas picture. But any painting or picture will not be good! Put your mind into it and really take the time to think. So, a painting on a canvas of your favorite vacation spot with a perfect sunset or day and perfect background that means something to both of you. Now that show you took some time and thought about it. How long does it take for you to buy a gift someone, including the time you really thought about what to give?

My gifts I give.

Now a days Amazon is a popular place to order and buy gifts from and people can set up wish list, that’s how some of my gift giving is done. I still like to put deep thoughts into my gifts. For example, for Christmas I bought my mom and stepdad a gorilla dump cart. It’s something they never thought of and will get use of it on their property. The next gift giving occasion coming up is a birthday and anniversary. The anniversary gift must be something leather, so this will be interesting what I think of and come up with. I like to be unique yet something useful or remindful. Even though I do not need to buy for a couple of months I still like to plan and order it ahead of time.

Do you try to buy gifts that have meaning and thought while still being useful? Or do you buy whatever to say you gave a gift?

Your approach to gift-giving is truly thoughtful and inspiring! It’s clear that you put a lot of heart and consideration into each gift, focusing not just on the item itself but on its meaning and relevance to the recipient. This personalized touch undoubtedly makes your gifts more special and memorable. I love how you embrace the challenge of finding unique gifts for those who seem to have everything or who buy things for themselves. Your example of the gorilla dump cart for your mom and stepdad is a perfect illustration of thinking outside the box and choosing something both practical and unexpected.

Your strategy of planning gifts in advance and aligning them with themes, like the leather item for an anniversary, shows a deep level of care and attention. It’s impressive how you manage to balance the element of surprise with practicality and personal significance. Your gifts are not just items; they become lasting symbols of your affection and thoughtfulness.

Gift-giving is indeed an art, and you seem to have mastered it beautifully. Your practice of investing time and thought into each gift certainly sets a wonderful example. Keep up the great work in making each gift-giving occasion memorable and heartfelt! 🎁💖🌟

Thank you but I am no master at gift giving. But I totally agree with your statement that gift giving should be a symbol of your affection and thoughtfulness to one. While most get caught up in either buying useless or unwanted expensive gifts that the big box stores told you to buy. Most things don’t need to be expensive, it’s the thought that counts so put the time into the thought behind it.
