What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?

Leisure time can be your time to do whatever you want. One thing that you can do to relax is watch a movie or read a book. Both can be relaxing but for some reading a book alone can be really relaxing especially when you get lost in it. For others sometimes watching a movie can be relaxing and they are able to visualize the storyline instead of letting their imagination run wild. Either way both are great ways to relax and spend your leisure time. What do you like to do in your leisure time?

Reading the book or watching the movie?

When given the choice to watch a movie or read a book most people choose to watch the movie. Sometimes watching the movie can be more relaxing but the book has so much more details. In a book they can describe more than what you will see in the movie. Plus reading a book you become one with the main character and really get to know or learn about them on a personal level. While watching the movie could be easier and quicker, you will be missing out on a lot of details. Would you rather read a book or watch a movie?

Book to movie or movie to book?

Most movies are created from books. Now you cannot make a 1,000-page book into a hour and half movie. Let me correct myself, you cannot include all the information and details in a 1,000-page book and make movie to include everything that is in the book. Especially not in an hour and half movie. To make a movie from a book they will need to cut something out of it to make it fit within the time of a movie. But what happens when a book is made from a movie? If the write kept to the facts and only wrote off the movie it would defiantly be a short book. Being the writer is not going to keep the book short there are endless pages to write about details and cover any lose ends in the movie. So, as you can see the book will trump a movie with deep details. Do you think books explain a scene better than a movie can?

Books to movies must read!

There are many books that were made into movies. When it comes to reading the book or watching the movie these are going to be read the book. In fact, if you want to do your own test read the book and then watch the movie or vice versa and see what you think is better. I think you might be surprised how much more detail and enhanced storyline the book will have over the movie. Some of the must-read books that were made into movies: My Abandonment by Peter Rock, One Flew Over The Cuckoo Nest by Ken Kesey, Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, The Shining by Stephen King, The Godfather by Mario Puzo, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Fifty Shades Of Grey. Obviously, there are tons of books that were made into movies. Have you ever read or seen any of these movies?

Books I have read that are movies.

Besides what I was forced to read in school I do not recall reading any specific books that have been made into movies. One book I remember reading in school that I did enjoy over the movie was The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. I am not a huge reader, but I have wanted to try to read Fifty Shades Of Grey, I heard the book is defiantly better than the movie. I do have to say the movie was really good. This may have to be one of my reads by the beach or I will have to start reading before bed. Where is your favorite place to read a book?

What is your favorite book that was turned into a movie?
