Being patriotic about something is one’s way to show their devotion, loyalty, support, and love or likeness to a country. According to YouGov survey the United States is the most patriotic country. 32% of Americans believe that their country (United States) is a better country over the others. Most people are proud of their background and where they came from. They are proud to display it and fight for what they believe in. Sometimes haters will hate no matter what, they will despise of the country they live it and do not believe everything that the country stands for. Do you like and are proud of the country you live in?
Displaying your patriotism.
Most people who really love their country and are proud of where they came from will express their feelings by showing it off. They wear patriotic clothing and even display it in their homes and vehicles. This can be done by having signs, stickers or a flag. Listening to music that talks about the people, soldiers, and country will make them feel proud and happy about where they live and come from. Do you like to listen to patriotic music or display your patriotism?
Showing your support and devotion.
Many people will show their support and devotion by displaying and partaking in events. Some people will attend or be a part of parades, festivals and rallies that will show your proudness of the country you believe in. There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel like you are a part of something, especially if it makes you feel good and proud. A love for more than one country.
You can have patriotism for more than one country. Some people are proud of their background or where they came from. They will have a love for the country that they either came from or where their ancestors are from. They will also have the same love for the country they live in now. They are proud where they came from, and they are proud where they are now. Do you have a love or patriotism for more than one country?
Haters will Hate.
Some people will not be proud of where they came from or where they live. They will not show their patriotism for anything. It could be that they feel betrayed by their roots, and they are not proud of where they ended up. Some believe patriotism stands for politics and everything the country does (whether its right or wrong). They do not know that being patriotic doesn’t mean you agree with everything the country is doing. It’s just showing your love for a country. No one will ever 100% agree with something and that’s okay.
My patriotism.
I have patriotism for two countries. My family is from Greece, and we attend festivals and celebrate some of the holidays. We do not go all out like we do for the United States (where I live). Around the United States holidays we will decorate our home with the United States flag and celebrate all the holidays. I am proud of where I came from, and I am proud of where I am now. I think patriotism helps define us as a person.
