Some of the best restaurants are small, family-owned places. Finding a “hole in the wall” type of place is sometimes the best. These places will be authentic, customer oriented, family owned, and (if they have food) the best food. There are many things that make a restaurant good but there’s a small list of things that make a restaurant great or the best. Depending on what we are looking to eat there are sometimes a limited number of restaurants that will have that certain type of food. With this being said sometimes it’s hard to compare apples to oranges. Have you ever been to a “hole in the wall” restaurant before?

When finding the best restaurant there are many things to take into consideration. Reviewing reviews of different restaurants and asking the locals is a great way to find good food places. Locals will always be the best when trying to find a “hole in the wall” place. When you find the type of restaurant you are looking for you can narrow your restaurant search down. Sometimes it’s a trial and error when finding a good restaurant and other times we just stumble across them. How do you find good places to eat at?
A good restaurant.
There are many things that make a restaurant good. A good restaurant will have good food, not too expensive, clean, and friendly staff. Usually for us to consider a restaurant good it must meet certain criteria on our personal list. Everyone’s criteria list will be different and of course it comes down to personal experience at that restaurant. If the restaurant is decent or on our good list, we may recommend this restaurant to others who are looking for a good place to eat. What is the most important thing for a restaurant to be on your decent or good list?
A great or best restaurant.
For a restaurant to be better than good or even the best there are a few things that must happen. While the criteria list will be the same as for a good or decent restaurant, but everything must exceed our expectations. We all like when we are treated as family, or high class. Great food that is exceptional to our taste buds is defiantly a must. The atmosphere of the place must be excellent and to our liking. Like anything, different people’s experiences, tastes and likings will play affect if a restaurant is just good or great to them. What makes a restaurant great or the best to you?
Having a favorite spot to eat.
Sometimes our favorite place to eat is not on our great or best restaurant list. For some people the favorite place to eat is not on their list at all. It may be some “hole in the wall” bar or food truck. If the atmosphere, food and staff are great this usually makes it on our favorite list. Sometimes our favorite list is just our personal favorite list and there are not too many times we will recommend food places from it unless it’s on one of our other lists. My favorite food places are usually “hole in the wall” places or small mom and pop places. I do like Texas Roadhouse which is on my good restaurant list. For a food place to make it on my favorite list it must have great atmosphere, and great food. One thing over the years that I have said and will stand next to is this old saying: The food can be crappy, and I do not want to pay a penny for it, but if it tastes great or amazing then I will have no problem paying $100 or more a plate.
