When it comes to looking forward into the future there are many things that I am excited and nervous/worry about. I like to think I am organized and have everything all planned out. Sometimes everything doesn’t go as planned. I try to plan everything about six months to a year out when it comes to planning bigger things (like long vacations or buying something expensive). As with everyone life happens sometimes and being prepared is something that is not in the plans. Do you make plans with your life that are six months or a year out?
Big plans and goals.
My big plans this year are to take some small vacations to various places. I need to buy a refrigerator soon since mine is slowly going (even though it is 3 years old). I am also hoping to buy a fifth wheel camper by the start of next year’s camping season. The original plan was to buy a new camper but doing much research today’s campers are being made so cheap. Another big issue I have found out is that the trailers frames are almost at max weight capacity when they build the camper on them. This leaves no extra weight capacity for camping gear or supplies. I am finding out that pre-covid campers are built better, so I guess I am stuck buying used. Hopefully these camper manufactures stop building everything so cheap and bring back the quality again. Do you find that most things today are not built like they were back in the day?
Vacation plans.
I already went on a few small trips this year like visiting my mom’s cottage. I have planned to go to Michigan Adventures Park, and Ripley’s Adventures in Tennessee. Hopefully I will be able to plan a camping trip even if it is for a small weekend. I know I will do more unplanned trips that are more spontaneous like going to the zoo or an amusement park. Do you like doing spontaneous trips and adventures that are unplanned?
Fifth wheel camper.
The camper I am looking for is a fifth wheel style with a queen or king bed for the main bed. The camper will also need either a bunk bed, full/queen bed or a loft to sleep a kid. Obviously, I have wants but are not must haves. I think an outdoor kitchen would be nice, auto leveler, and outdoor shower would be nice. One day I think it would be interesting to full time camp (this would be years down the road). What are some options or items that is a necessity when you go camping?
Refrigerator.
Since my refrigerator is slowly going, I have been doing some research in which refrigerator I want to buy. The one I really like is from LG it has two French doors which is the refrigerator, then a bottom big drawer which is freezer, it also has a middle drawer which can be either a refrigerator or freezer (your choice). I like the knock, knock feature with the ice and water on the door. So that’s the plan to buy that one. I am hoping not to finance it and just buy it out right. Do you research appliances before buying them?
Camping.
My goal is to do some camping this year. The year started off very hot and muggy, where camping in a tent is a no go. This is one reason I am looking into a camper also I am hoping it will be easier to pack and setup. Now that the weather is mellowing out a little, I am hoping I will be able to do some tent camping unless I miraculously find and buy a fifth wheel camper. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting by the campfire looking up at the stars on a cool quiet night. What is your favorite thing about camping?
What big plans are you planning for this year?
